At 13 km from the small resort of Batumi is entirely immersed in the green – Chakvi. It is located on the Black Sea coast of Adjara near two famous resorts of Green Cape and Tsikhisdziri.
Chakvi is historically the cradle of Georgian tea. He was brought here and put Chinese scholar Lao Djon Djiaom. In Soviet times, there were three Chakvi tea factories, as well as enterprises producing Fruit and Berry wines and citrus liqueurs. In addition to tea plantations here you can admire the Japanese mandarin plantations and bamboo.
Chakvi now very popular among tourists who are attracted by the evergreen nature and a new hotels along the coastline.
